Commitment to Solutions

At ASHA, we aim to enhance healthcare access using technology, recognizing that technology only holds significance when people actively use it. To achieve this, ASHA's Japanese and local members thoroughly contemplate how the technology is introduced and performed easily  in remote areas of Nepal, and we actively engage in system development, implementation, and operations.

Key Features of Our Solution

Creating a system that doesn't end as a one-off

We work with local governments and NGOs to implement projects while envisioning a long-term future, aiming to create sustainable systems that go beyond temporary change. Furthermore, by effectively leveraging technology, we ensure quality and make community needs more visible.

A management system where local people play a leading role

The project is primarily led by full-time Nepali staff with strong passion, while Japanese team members provide support. Additionally, Nepali advisors with extensive business experience in Japan assist with operations and communication, helping to establish a locally led management system in Nepal.

Activity planning with a view to self-sustaining on-site activities

We are promoting the standardization of operational methods and the development of manuals to enable local management. By making all teaching materials, documents, and software open-source, we minimize costs and ensure that the program remains sustainable locally.

Pro bono "collaborative creation"

ASHA’s activities involve 60 pro bono members from nine countries around the world. Because our pro bono program allows members to choose how they engage, it attracts individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, who leverage their knowledge and expertise to explore new ways of contributing to society.
